I so love this autumn weather and watching the leaves change color and be released by the trees! It reminds me to look for what is ready to be released from my life so new ideas, inspiration and growth can spring forward in its place.

What I see intuitively and energetically for 2012 is a time of even greater acceleration and growth, while 2011 has been (and continues to be) a year of creating clarity and ramping up for 2012. Consider using the remainder of 2011 to get even clearer and more focused on what you desire in your life and your business so you can hit the ground running in the New Year.

Are You Living from Empowered Choice? |
I love the quote on the left by Steve Jobs. He was such an amazing entrepreneur. His quote is also in alignment with the energy of Autumn - a call to release what is no longer working (including other's opinions and judgments) to make room for new ideas, inspiration and growth.
One of the common themes I see in intuitive consultations with my clients - whether they have come for personal, health or business insights - is that we often have old patterns or habits that are negatively impacting our life. These habits or patterns are often developed in childhood as a coping mechanism or in reaction to other's opinions or judgments about who we should be or what we should do.
A signal that lets us know patterns or habits (like a knee jerk reaction) are no longer working for us can be strong negative emotions such as hurt, frustration or anger. Next time those strong emotions come up, use it as a prompt to see if it is time to release an old pattern and shift into personal power and choice.
Using Intuition to Shift Obsolete Patterns to Personal Power and Choice
Whether the pattern is one you created as a coping mechanism in your childhood, or the reaction to someone else's opinion, there is a simple intuitive technique you can use to identify and release what is no longer working.
I recently had a situation with someone that was hurtful and made me angry. By getting out of my mind and tuning in to my intuition I was able to notice that my first reaction was coming from a similar hurtful situation in childhood, and that I was losing energy and personal power. As soon as I shifted my focus to 'How can I approach this from personal power and choice?" a way of handling the situation came forward that made sense and felt right.
Next time a situation arises that triggers hurt, frustration or anger, seize the opportunity to use your intuition to look at how and why you are reacting and shift into a response based on personal power and choice.
Find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted, close your eyes,get centered and focused, and enter into the following self inquiry:
· What is the first reaction that came forward to this situation?
· How am I feeling right now about this situation (identify both the emotions and physical body sensations)?
· What age was I and what was the situation when I first experienced this reaction?
· Is this reaction in my highest good today?
· How can I approach this differently - in present time and from personal power and choice?
· As you sit with this new approach (from personal power and choice), notice how you feel (both emotions and body sensations).
Imagine how much better you'll feel when you can spend a few minutes to turn around an uncomfortable situation and reacting to one where you are empowered to respond. Let's use this season to release what is no longer working, live at choice and embrace inspiration and growth.
