Excerpts:
"When I am facing a difficult problem, something that carries a lot of emotion, and I need clarity, I always look to Susan. Susan challenged my beliefs and helped me create a new vision. My session with Susan also gave me the courage to do what I needed to do. After I give myself the gift of an hour with Susan, I always come away energized, with lucidity and determination." Pay attention to when and where you get your intuitive "hits." Is it in the middle of the night through your dreams? If so, keep a notebook and a pen that lights up (one source is lightwriter.com) next to your bed so you can record your dream insights without getting up or turning on the lights. Do you get you intuitive knowing in the shower? Keep an intuition journal in the bathroom. Is it driving in the car? Keep a digital recorder handy in your glove box to record your intuitive knowings. Pay attention to the times of day that you are most intuitive. Our intuition works in cycles just like our body. Are you most intuitive in the early morning, afternoon, or evening? Ask your questions when your intuition is heightened for easiest access. Writing or recording it will allow you to validate your intuitive insights and trust it more, which will allow you to access it more easily.

Greetings!
I just returned from the annual eWomenNetwork conference in Dallas, Texas where 2,000+ business women gathered to connect, learn, share, and be inspired. WOW! The energy was incredible! I met so many women entrepreneurs who are creating and expanding their businesses as well as giving back to their community through non-profit (For Impact) organizations. I experienced lots of synchronicities too. At the opening Gala a woman from Texas sat next to me that knows a colleague of mine from Sacramento - and now we're collaborating on a project. When we pay attention, we experience more synchronicities. Even in an elevator or at the office supply store. When we're aware of what's going on around us, and we're open to it, we meet just the right people and magical things happen. I'm off to San Diego to continue my studies (yes, I'm a perpetual student - I love to learn) in Matrix Energetics - a consciousness technology based on quantum physics. Yes, that's quiet the description. It's something anyone can learn and is really fun too. It's based on holding a state of pure potential and possibilities. Who wouldn't love that! One of its concepts I love is to make up your own rules. That works great for me because my personality type thinks that rules are made for those people who can't make up their own! So I say - make up your own rules! Forget compliance! Forget blending in! Forget flying under the radar! Its time to step up to living fully by our own rules! Here are a few of my new rules: I see and experience miracles. Whatever benefits my clients receive, I receive too if it is in my highest good. So try it out. Make up some new rules this week - rules that are in alignment with who you are and what you desire to create. Here's to making up our own rules, Susan P.S. And watch for an upcoming announcement regarding an exciting Mastering Intuition In Business workshop series. |

What's the Quality of Your Questions? |
|
At the recent eWomenNetwork conference I mentioned above, the first question many people asked was "What do you do?" I don't know about you, but that question is feeling kind of old and stale to me. It feels like it has a low vibration that doesn't solicit an inspired response. I was mentioning that I was tired of the same old What Do You Do question to my friend and colleague Ellen Kaminski, The Elevator Speech Therapist and received some sage advice. She suggested asking instead "What is your area of expertise?" I was amazed at the difference it made in the conversation and level of connection. People immediately had the opportunity to share what they are good at and excited about. Try it next time and see if it elevates the connection.
You've probably heard about the importance of framing affirmations in the present and positive. Well the same holds true for the questions we ask our intuition. It's important to frame your questions to access the information and answers you're really looking for.
When we ask questions about what we don't have or don't want, such as "Why can't I___?" we are usually focusing our energy in the past. Wouldn't you rather have all your energy in the present to receive the answers you really desire from your intuitive wisdom?
For example, rather than asking: "Why don't I have more clients?" reframe the question in a positive light: "What can I do to attract more clients?" Instead of "What's wrong with___?" shift your question to "How can I___? or "What can be done to___?" Rather than "Is this a bad time to___?" ask "When is the optimum time to___?"
Reframing our questions in the positive shifts the focus to what we can imagine, create, and manifest. It keeps the questions, and therefore the answers, at a higher vibration. The quality of the answers we receive are directly related to the quality of the questions we ask.

Sun and Mood Meditation Recently I was driving home from a friend's house on the river out by the Sacramento airport. I had participated in a gathering of those from Northern California with whom I shared a spiritual sojourn to Egypt last December. It was a magical night of sharing of our experiences - such as our private meditation in the King's Chamber in the Great Pyramid of Giza the last night of our trip - and how our lives had changed because of our experiences. Of course we also enjoyed Hank Wesselman's delicious hand made margaritas (yes, we can be spiritual and have fun too)! I was driving home in the early morning to the beautiful sun rise on my left and a full moon setting on my right. It was a breathtaking moment. Although I'm usually an early riser, I'm rarely out at that time a day with unlimited visibility to the Eastern and the Western horizons. I could feel the magic in the air. It was a very special and meaningful experience. The powerful metaphor that came to me is that some parts of my life are coming to completion - the setting moon - and other parts of my life are dawning like the rising sun. It was at this time that I was guided to shift the focus of my intuitive work to assist entrepreneurs remember and expand the use of their intuition in business. Interestingy, not long before this experience I had purchased the wonderful art work you see above. Its one of several pieces I've collected from a favorite artist - Cathy McClelland. Her art is beautiful, meaningful, and inspirational. Here's the artist's description of her Sun and Moon Meditation: "Meditation is a personal/private way of prayer to understand your soul and purpose. This painting was inspired by one of Joseph Campbell's statements. He was recalling a time when he experienced a sun setting and moon rising at the same time. It is the twilight time, the time between two worlds, a perfect time to meditate between the two worlds of the self, exploring the spiritual, quiet and intuitive self reflected in the water, trusting all the possibilities of one's destiny that are revealed during meditation. It is a quiet and reflective time. The painting has a very quiet feel to it, because that is where meditation takes you, but also, that time of the transition of the sun and the moon, would seem to me to be a very magical time where one would get goose bumps and feel anything is possible. It is an abstract time that is wonderfully visual, where the portal of transformation is possible." You can see more inspiring art at Cathy's web site. | |
