"Everyone of us comes into life with lessons to learn and gifts to give. The more we learn and grow, the more we become capable of developing and sharing these natural gifts. As we develop our intuition, we find ourselves guided toward discovering and fulfilling our higher purpose in life. That higher purpose is, quite literally, the sharing of our gifts."~

Greetings!
Two of the energies that have been predominant for many people I've spoken with lately are change and collaboration. And they both are sure up for me.
The biggest change is I just moved into a wonderful new office at 2231 J Street, Suite 101 (by 23rd) in the heart of Midtown Sacramento. After 5½ years at my office on N Street, the building owners needed it for themselves. Initially disappointed, it has led to a wonderful new space as well as collaboration with friend and intuitive Lauren Buchanan with whom I'm sharing the suite. There is classroom space as well, so a schedule of upcoming classes will be out soon, along with an Open House announcement.
I'll also be assisting collaboration colleague Rev. Laura Hansen with her 1-Day Life Tools Intensive - Your New Way Forward this coming Sunday, May 23rd in Sacramento. It's going to be a great day addressing 3 areas of life - love, work and money. She is offering my clients and newsletter readers a 40% discount (use shopping cart coupon code: REGDISC) -- $75 instead of $125. Good until May 20. She is also offering three free monthly follow up classes in addition to the discount. You'll enjoy Laura's practical information as well as her wonderful energy and great sense of humor (also found in her book Hand Me a Wrench, My Live is Out of Whack: Understanding the Decisions We Make and Discovering the Power to Change). Click here for details.
I hope to see you at my new office soon and at Laura's event on Sunday.
Here's to embracing change and the power of collaboration,
Susan |

Are You Putting Your Best Energy Forward? |
|
Most of us have read articles about how people evaluate and form their impressions of us in the first three seconds. There is much more to this first impression than your physical appearance, body language and clothing. We also survey each other energetically, usually without even realizing it.
We've all met people that just seem to bubble with energy, no matter how they are dressed or what they are doing - or not doing. Conversely, have you ever met someone attractive and nicely dressed with a smile on their face, but something just doesn't seem right? It can be a variety of impressions - a knowing that they are in a bad mood, a feeling like they have a dark cloud over their head, or just feeling uncomfortable around them for no discernable reason. That's their energy speaking to you.
Since first impressions are usually lasting, it's important that we put our best energy forward when meeting people - for the first time or people we already know - especially in a business environment. It takes only a brief moment before meetings, presentations, or events to take a few deep breaths, access your best self and shine your unique light brightly in your interactions.
Here are a few quick and easy ways to put your best energy forward:
As you prepare to enter a business event or conversation, amp up your unique expression (both verbal and energetic) by holding in your awareness for a moment one of the following:
· The excitement of the core purpose and passion of your business
· The wonderful ways your products and/or services help your clients
· Your favorite client - and how great working with them makes you feel
· Your most glowing compliment or testimonial from a client
You can also use the same concept to amp up your fun meter when getting ready to go out and have some fun. As you are getting ready, hold in your awareness the last time you had a really fun time, and feel that excitement circulate through you and come sparkling out your eyes.
Doesn't that feel better? Now it's easy to have a genuine smile on your face and walk taller because you feel good. People will naturally be draw to your genuine smile and vibrant energy.
For some additional tips on creating deeper business connections more quickly, see two of my other feature articles in my newsletter archives:
· Learn about your Connection Sweet Spot in my February 2008 newsletter feature article Connecting - Not Just Talking, are You Having Conversations, or Making CONNECTIONS?
· For some juicy conversation starters (rather than "And What Do You Do?) see my May 2009 newsletter feature article Are You Asking the Right Questions? Connecting on a Deeper Level
We actually arrive at events energetically before we arrive physically, so take those few moments to be sure you put your best energy forward.
