Once data has been recorded (written) it cannot be erased.<br><br> CD-ROM (Compact Disc Read-Only Memory) is a pressed disc, which is non - recordable as its main function is to read data stored on the disc. CD-ROMs are created by the use of a glass master and can hold up to 650 MB of digital information.<br><br>The same differences apply for DVD-ROM and DVD-R.";

titletext[7] = "WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DUPLICATION AND REPLICATION?";
contenttext[7] = "Duplication and replication are two different ways of manufacturing CD's or DVD's. <p>Duplication refers to the process where a laser is utilised to write data onto a CD or DVD. This solution is ideal for short run quantities below 1000 and fast turnaround. It is less cost effective as it is a very manual process. </p> <p>Replication uses a glass master which is produced from your production master. A stamper is created and mounted onto a DVD injection moulding machine, and molten polycarbonate plastic is injected under high pressure to create an exact replica of the stamper. A reflective aluminium coating is applied then sealed with a durable protective lacquer, and the disc is then cured under high power UV lamps. </p> <p>Replication is more durable, provides better quality and is more cost effective when dealing with larger runs. </p>";

Please make sure the master is carefully packed and protected.";

Getting artwork approved by a PDF file is suitable if you want a quick same day approval. However, this is not the most colour accurate alternative. <p>Cromalin proof:<br>A Cromalin proof is the most colour accurate alternative, but costs slightly more.</p><p>Laser proof:<br>A laser proof supplies you with a digital printed proof that we can send to<br>you in the post. Unfortunately this alternative is less colour accurate. </p>"
